Giant Elephant Ear plant in Pot
If you’ve paid any attention at all to my blog postdates, you realized pretty quickly that I haven’t posted in a while. Yes, it’s true, I’ve been remiss in my duties, but as we all know, life sometimes gets in the way. But with the advent of the winter season, and all of life’s little pitfalls sort of under control, we are back in the swing of things and there are big changes in store. If you don’t see a post for a month or so keep checking back, as we catch up, I will fill you in as quickly as I can. So, let me give you an update.
Right after our spring post, we had the opportunity to sell our home and move closer to my 9 to 5, closer to family, elderly parents, adult kids etc. It also provided us a chance to find a more suitable domicile for Aloha Habitat. We currently reside in a rental until we either buy or build a new home. But, regardless of where we live the plants live too, and with the advent of winter, everyone came inside, so right now our little rental is full of Plumeria Trees of all sizes and ages, philodendrons, olive trees, pineapples, and various house plants. They sit on window ledges, shelves, on the floor, in the garage, on top of the kitchen cabinets and bookcases. They are everywhere it seems like. Honestly, that’s ok, when we have plants everywhere, we have cleaner air, and feel better, blah winter days are not so blah. I even brought in a couple of herb pots, so I have fresh oregano, basil, and peppermint.
Which is what this website is all about. Bringing the outdoors in whether it’s purely tropical, or herbs for the kitchen, or simply a fiddle leaf fig, or a few philo’s in a pot here and there.
